How to reset Google Apps cookie functionality
Explains how to reset a users' Google Apps sign-in cookies for added security
Because Google Apps is a cloud based architecture service, data security is a very high priority. Users can access their Google Apps data from virtually any browser from anywhere they can access the internet. If a solid SSO (Single Sign-on) solution or a strong authentication mechanism is not in-place their accounts; and more importantly, data are at risk. Google has just included the ability for Google Apps domain administrators to reset a users' sign-on cookies. This ability helps prevent unauthorized access to their Apps' on-line accounts. When a users' cookies are reset they are logged out of all current web browser sessions that they might have open and will need to re-authenticate the next time they try to access their account. A very important Google Apps security enhancement.
The following explains in detail how to reset a users' sign-in cookies from the "Manage this Domain" feature of Google Apps.
1) Log in to your Google Apps account as a Domain Administrator and click "Manage this Domain" in the upper right of your browser
2) Click on "Organization & Users" and then double click the user whose cookies you wish to reset
3) Click on "Reset sign-in cookies" in the "Password" section

After you reset a users' sign-on cookies they will need to re-authenticate again when they initiate another Google Apps browser session.
